About the Opportunity

Are you wanting to develop new skills and grow your knowledge and understanding of surveying activities in a Local Government environment? 

If so, take this unique opportunity to work with Council's Traffic & Design team, conducting surveying activities in the preparation and delivery of civil construction projects for Council’s Works & Services department with a key focus on supporting machine guidance technologies.

Based at Council's Administration Centre, the Graduate Surveyor will be an integral member of the Works & Services Team, responsible for assisting with engineering services, plans, project delivery, survey services and traffic management.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this position you will need: 

  • Bachelor of Spatial Science (survey major) or similar
  • SafeWork NSW Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Standard Drivers licence
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from team members 
  • Possess good communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in the use of computer applications
  • Commitment to Customer Service
  • Commitment to maintaining a high level of privacy and confidentiality
  • Commitment to continuous improvement

Other details relating to this position are:

  • Grade 10-12 weekly salary of $1,164.40 to $1,515.33. Salary to be determined dependent upon qualifications and experience of successful applicant
  • Employer Superannuation of 9.5% applies
  • 35 hour working week and a fortnightly RDO
  • Employment conditions are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2020
