About the Opportunity
Central West Childcare Services is seeking a compassionate, proactive, and experienced Inclusion Support Educator for a maternity relief position for up to 12 months, working 22 hours per week (Tuesday to Thursday). This part-time role provides specialised support to children with designated or diagnosed additional needs, helping ensure their successful participation and development within our service.
In this rewarding position, you will assess and support children with additional needs and work closely with educators, families, and allied health professionals to provide high-quality, inclusive care. You will contribute to individualised learning programs, facilitate social and emotional development, and champion best practice inclusion in line with CWCS and Parkes Shire Council principles.

About You
The successful applicant requires strong communication and teamwork skills. To be successful in this position you will need:
- Vocational qualification/s in Children's Services or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in early childhood education, inclusion support, or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of child development and current practices in childcare
- Sound knowledge of Education and Care Services National Regulation
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Frameworks
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment and builds strong relationships with families and professionals.
- Understands the needs of children with diverse developmental profiles and is committed to inclusive education.
- Is organised, flexible, and able to adapt learning approaches to support individual child outcomes.
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Current and maintained NSW Drivers Licence
- Current and maintained National Police History Check
- Current and maintained Working with Children Check
It will be highly favorable if you possess any of the following:
- Knowledge of Harmony software
- Knowledge of Electronic Records systems
- Child protection certificate
- Food Handling Certificate

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Parkes Shire Council's policies and conditions of employment.
The role has been evaluated as being Grade 9 of the Council's salary structure with a commencing salary of $67,412 ($34.12 per hour). The commencing salary to be determined upon the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful candidates.
